The name of the study program is Management and Organization. The goal of the program is to provide students with up-to-date knowledge and skills in the fields of management and organizational sciences, as well as mastery of contemporary engineering and management methods and techniques. The program also aims to prepare students for the successful application of the acquired knowledge and skills in their profession and for further academic advancement at higher levels of study.
The Management and Organization study program consists of six modules:
Undergraduate academic studies last four years, or eight semesters. Each year carries the same number of ECTS credits – 60, for a total of 240 ECTS credits. The list of compulsory and elective courses, along with their ECTS credit value, is an integral part of the study program curriculum.
During the first and second years, students attend courses that provide an introduction to the study of management, organization of business systems and processes, mathematics, economics, information technologies, psychology and sociology, probability and statistics, and human resource management. In each subsequent year, the courses become increasingly specialized, while still covering broadly defined aspects of the fields studied in previous years.
In the third year, students choose one of six elective areas – modules (a description of the standards by modules is provided in the appendix)
The study process is conducted through lectures and tutorials. Lectures are delivered using modern presentations, case study analyses, and interactive work with students. In addition, lectures by industry professionals are regularly organized. Tutorials are conducted as classroom-based and laboratory sessions with practical work, including case study solving, group work, simulations, business games, and similar activities. Students participate actively in the teaching process through homework assignments, seminar and project papers, computer-based work, and visits to companies and institutions. Both lectures and tutorials place strong emphasis on the active role of students.
Through the course “Final Thesis” (4 ECTS credits), students register the title of their thesis topic and conduct research. The final thesis is a mandatory requirement for all undergraduate academic students, and it carries 3 ECTS credits.
Prerequisites for enrollment in individual courses are specified within the course descriptions provided in the course catalog.
The conditions for transferring from other study programs within the same or related fields of study are defined by the Statute of the University, the Statute of the Faculty, the Call for Enrollment in Undergraduate Academic Studies, as well as by the general regulations of the Faculty.
